The Chitimacha Tribe of Louisiana is a federally recognized Tribe located on the Chitimacha Reservation near Charenton, Louisiana. We are a Sovereign Nation governed by our Tribal Council and our government operates similar to other governments.

JOB SUMMARY: This position provides a flexible educational program and a class environment favorable to learning and motivating students to achieve academically. Establishes good relationships with parents and other staff members for the betterment of the students.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Must possess a valid Louisiana teaching certificate pertinent to teaching assignment. Must have a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education or a Bachelor's Degree in Secondary education (6th - 12th) with highly qualified credentials toward designated subject area for 6th - 8th teaching position.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

•Background investigation will be required.

•Subject to pre-employment and random drug testing.
